As part of Barcelona Design Week 2025, we invite you to participate in the Life in Light round table, a unique gathering where we will explore how light, color, and materials intertwine to create transformative experiences.
The event will take place on Thursday, October 9, at 7:30 p.m. at La Culture House, a modernist space in the heart of Barcelona that will host this conversation between art, design, and innovation.
Before the round table, Judith Van Vliet (The Color Authority) will give an opening presentation in which she will share her vision on the meaning of color, upcoming trends, and how light can transform our perception of materials.

About the event:
The round table will address topics ranging from the relationship between light and color in our perception to the challenges of sustainability and the materials of the future, including human-centered design (Human Centric Lighting). An invitation to discover how light can become a storyteller, a tool for well-being, and a driver of innovation.
The Driving Force of Color
Autumn colors the world in warm tones. Colors evoke emotions and influence our behavior. During our DBC lunch on November 5th, themed “The Driving Force of Color,” we will delve deeper into the power of color.
For this occasion, we have invited “Color Authority” and fellow member Judith van Vliet, an expert in color and trend forecasting for multinationals. She will explain how color affects emotions and behavior, and how it can be effectively applied in design and branding.
