Neolith: THE EDIT

Creative concept & storytelling by The Color Authority™

What happens when a material becomes more than a surface?

For Neolith, The Color Authority™ created the creative concept and storytelling for the launch of five new surfaces, exploring material as a multi-sensory form of expression.

The starting point was to move beyond the visual. Each surface was approached as an individual identity, shaped not only by its color, texture and pattern, but also by the senses and emotions it could evoke, from light and sound to smell, touch, shape and atmosphere.

TCA developed the concept of Code of Expressions: an emotional and sensory code for each material, translating its physical qualities into a distinct personality and narrative. Each surface was given its own set of emotional cues, creating a language that could be experienced rather than simply seen.

Light became part of the story. Sound created atmosphere. Scent suggested memory. Shape and texture invited touch. Color connected these elements, creating a complete sensory identity around each material.

The five surfaces therefore became more than individual products. They became five different expressions, five emotional identities and five ways of experiencing material.

As The Color Authority™, my role was to bring together CMF research, cultural insight, sensory thinking and creative storytelling , transforming material innovation into a narrative with emotional depth and a clear point of view.

THE EDIT: a new Material Language was a way of asking not only what a material looks like, but what it makes us feel.
