CMF 2027 Forecast Obra Blanca
The Obra Blanca CMF Forecast 2027 is developed as a living tool based on the experience of its creators, documenting the collective thinking of architecture and interior design firms from different regions of the country, and drawing on constant observation, critical analysis, and aesthetic sensitivity.
This year, the exercise was carried out in three regions in partnership with The Color Authority and with the support of 20 architecture and interior design firms, consolidating a space for multidisciplinary dialogue that enriches the view of what is to come. The workshops held in Monterrey, Merida, and Mexico City allowed us to identify emerging patterns, reinterpret global references from a local perspective and ground concepts in material palettes that reflect Mexico's contemporary identity. The new trends we present reflect deep concerns about how we want to live, what values we want to preserve, and how we can design spaces that are more humane, sustainable, and meaningful.
Each trend is an open narrative that can be used as a starting point, an accent, or a provocation. From finishes that evoke craftsmanship and tactility to materials that dialogue with technology and what does not yet exist, the CMF Obra Blanca Forecast 2027 proposes three diverse and flexible trends that can be adapted to different contexts and scales. Its objective is clear: to inspire, provoke, and accompany space professionals in their creative process. Identifying, using, and applying a trend involves an exercise in observation, decanting, and transformation.
